Send downloads to your Synology NAS without opening DSM.

Adding downloads:
• Right-click a link – or a whole selection of links – and all of it lands in Download Station.
• Paste an entire list of links into the popup and add them in one go.
• Add .torrent and .nzb files from your computer, several at a time.
• Open magnet links in the extension instead of a desktop program.
• If the NAS happens to be asleep, it is waited for rather than reported as an error.
• Whatever the NAS turns down stays in the list with the reason. A second attempt sends only those links – the ones it accepted do not arrive twice.
• Optional password field for protected archives (see Requirements).

Keeping track:
• Follow every download live: status, progress bar, percentage and current speed. Just after adding something the list is checked more often, so short downloads can be seen running too.
• Filter tasks by status, sort them and page through long lists.
• Pause, resume, retry or remove tasks – one at a time or all together.
• Clear out finished downloads with a single click.
• Notifications for added, failed and finished downloads, each switchable on its own. Once the last one is through, a message sums up what became of them.

Settings:
• Three tabs – Add, Tasks, Settings – and you choose which one the window opens on.
• Set the destination folder for new downloads.
• "Save and test connection" checks the login right away, including the two-factor prompt. Plus Sign out and Reset all settings.
• Sign in with a two-factor code (experimental).
• Usable from the keyboard and marked up for screen readers.
• In English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Russian.

Requirements:
• A Synology NAS with the Download Station package installed.
• A DSM account that is allowed to use Download Station.
• Read and write permission for that account on the shared folder the downloads end up in.
• For automatic extraction: in DSM, under Download Station → Settings → Auto extract, tick “Enable Auto extract for downloaded files”. Every account sets that for itself, and it is off by default.

Privacy:
Your username and password stay on your computer and go only to the NAS address you enter. They never travel in the address line but in the request body, so neither the password nor the session id ends up in the NAS's own web server log. Nothing is collected and nothing is sent to third parties.
