OpenTunnel is committed to protecting your privacy and security. This privacy policy explains how the OpenTunnel Firefox Add-on handles information.
- Data Collection & Processing
In accordance with our "none" data collection declaration: - We DO NOT collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII).
- We DO NOT track, monitor, log, or inspect your browsing history, visited URLs, web traffic content, or DNS queries.
- The add-on contains NO third-party trackers, analytics frameworks, or advertising libraries.
- Local Storage Usage
The add-on uses Firefox's local storage (storage.local) strictly on your device for operational functionality: - Auth Token: Stored locally to authenticate proxy sessions with your OpenTunnel account.
- User Preferences: Stores your selected server location and language settings.
- Bandwidth Metering: Tracks local byte counts to calculate your daily bandwidth quota and connection duration in real-time.
- Network Routing & Proxy
When connected, your browser network traffic is routed securely through your chosen OpenTunnel server node. All communication with our authentication API is encrypted over HTTPS/TLS. - Data Retention & Deletion
You can permanently delete all locally stored data at any time by clicking "Sign Out" inside the popup or by removing the add-on from Firefox (about:addons). - Contact Information
