Media Bridge processes the URL submitted by the user, media metadata returned by the requested website, selected format and quality, local download progress, and error information.

When the user selects Find videos, the extension reads media URLs and basic metadata exposed by the active webpage. This information is sent only through Firefox Native Messaging to the locally installed Media Bridge Helper. It is not transmitted to servers operated by the publisher.

The Helper connects directly to the website and content-delivery services associated with the URL submitted by the user. Media Bridge does not import browser cookies, passwords, payment information, general browsing history, or page HTML.

Temporary video preview crops remain inside the extension popup, are not sent to the Helper, and disappear when the popup closes.

Media Bridge contains no publisher analytics, advertising network, account system, or cloud media processing.
