SHORT VERSION
This add-on has no accounts, no analytics, no tracking and no ads. It does not collect personal information, and nothing about you or your browsing is sent to the developer - except what you deliberately type into one of its two forms and choose to send: the "submit a game" form, and the feedback form.
WHAT IS STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
All of the following is kept in your browser's local extension storage and never leaves your device:
- The community game database - a cached copy, so badges appear instantly and work offline.
- Your settings - badge position, style and opacity, interface font, carousel size, the "hide adult games" preference, and your active filters.
- Your Steam library and wishlist - only if you enable the ownership sync feature. This is used solely to mark which games you already own, and it is stored locally. It is never transmitted to the developer or to anyone else.
- The date you installed it - a date only, with no time of day. It exists so the feedback form can show how long you had been using the add-on when you report something. It is not an identifier, and it stays on your device unless you submit that form yourself.
Removing the add-on deletes all of it. You can also export or clear this data yourself from the add-on's settings at any time.
NETWORK REQUESTS THE ADD-ON MAKES
1. docs.google.com (published spreadsheets) - downloads the community game database, price and discount data, translator credits, and community links. Sends nothing identifying: a plain public file download, the same for every user.
2. store.steampowered.com - reads game metadata for the page you are viewing. A standard request to the page you already opened.
3. *.steamstatic.com - loads game artwork (headers, capsules, logos). Nothing beyond the image request.
4. Steam library/wishlist endpoints - only when ownership sync is enabled: reads which games you own. Uses the Steam session already present in your browser. The response is stored locally and is not forwarded anywhere.
5. docs.google.com (feedback form) - opens when you remove the add-on, or when you click the feedback button in settings. Loading the page sends nothing to the developer. Your answers are sent only if you press submit.
6. fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com - loads the Thai interface fonts the font setting offers, whenever the popup or the library panel is opened. Your IP address and browser details reach Google, as with any web font. No identifier of yours is attached, and the request is the same for every user.
The add-on loads no remote code. The spreadsheet downloads are data files only; no JavaScript is fetched or executed from an external source.
INFORMATION YOU CHOOSE TO SEND
The add-on has two forms, and both work the same way: nothing is transmitted until you fill one in and press submit.
- The "submit a game" form - for reporting a game with Thai support. The details you entered (such as the game, the type of Thai support, the mod link, and any note or credit name you provide) are sent to a Google Form owned by the developer, so the entry can be reviewed and added to the community database.
- The feedback form - for reporting a problem or suggesting an idea. You can open it from the add-on's settings, and Firefox also opens it in a new tab when you remove the add-on, so you have the chance to say why you left. It arrives with the add-on version and your install date already filled in. Both of those are ordinary visible fields on the form, and you can clear them before sending.
If you close the feedback page without submitting - including the one that opens on uninstall - nothing reaches the developer. Opening the page does mean your browser requests it from Google, who host the form, exactly as visiting any web page would; the developer sees only responses that were actually submitted.
Submitted game entries may appear in the public database and be visible to other users, so do not enter personal information you do not want published. Feedback responses are not published.
WHY EACH PERMISSION IS NEEDED
- storage - to keep the cached database and your settings on your device.
- activeTab - to read the Steam page you are currently viewing so the correct game can be identified and the badge placed.
- store.steampowered.com - to place badges and panels on Steam store pages and read game details from them.
- *.steamstatic.com - to load game artwork from Steam's content delivery network.
The Thai Game Library opens in Firefox's own sidebar, which needs no permission of its own.
The add-on runs on Steam store pages only. It has no access to any other site you visit.
DATA SHARING
No data is sold, rented, or transferred to third parties. No data is used for advertising, profiling, or creditworthiness assessment. No data is used for any purpose unrelated to showing Thai language support on Steam.
